At Share the Care Hospice Inc, hospice volunteers provide meaningful companionship and practical support to patients and their families. All volunteers complete specialized hospice training and work in accordance with an individualized volunteer plan of care to ensure safe, compassionate, and appropriate support.

Volunteers may assist with activities such as providing companionship, running essential errands, and helping with light housekeeping related to the patient’s care. In alignment with Medicare hospice requirements, volunteers contribute a minimum of five percent of the total patient care hours provided by the agency, reinforcing the hospice commitment to community involvement and holistic care.
